how do you oil an antares saddle?
i just bought a used antares saddle. it's a light brown and i would like to make it a shade or two darker. i know that in order to do so, i need to oil. i'm nervous about doping this, for i never have before and don't want to ruin my saddle. if someone could give me a specific step-by-step of what to do, that would be great.

The problem with oiling any leather saddle is that over time the oil will rot the cotton thread. DO NOT use Neatsfoot oil! Warm up some oil oil (Just WARM to the touch, not boiling then apply it to a CLEAN saddle (Clean with liquid or bar glycerin.). Work it in with your hands then wipe off the excess. Let sit a couple of days then do it all again until you reach the shade you desire.
